How he says he did it:

The first image says it is at 400%. So this is 100%:
The second says 800%, so this is 100%

The plane in the first picture appears to have it's front end clipped off in order to fit the profile of a "whatzit."

Drawn down smaller, the first image still looks like a plane with it's nose clipped off.
Blurred, this 2/3 of a plane has a fairly whatzit-ly demeanor for a frame or two,

but at 300%, the tiny blur
no longer looks like the object captured on video

The snubnose profile is reminiscent of a Globalhawk

Not for a single frame does the object approximate the animation created by the History Channel to document the event:

Which is supposed to show a plane flying into the building "long and low."
Notice the animation has enough common sense to explode immediately upon contact, instead of goofing around in front of the building first.
