In June 2002, a C 130A firefighting plane crashed.
The official explanation is that the wings on that model were structurally weak, and fell off.

I'd say explosions tend to weaken wings dramatically.

More Strangeness

When this firefighting plane exploded and fell out of the sky last June, we thought it was peculiar, and someone found a video at ogrish.com. It's horrible quality, recorded with a video camera off a TV.
Two separate clips of the crash are each made with a different selection of frames.

Reviewing it, I discovered the frames have been mangled like the Ztoon. This is inexplicable nless they were hiding something.

I have slowed and enhanced part of the AirDisaster.com clip as a demonstration.

Here it is enhanced to the best of my ability to improve the color and contrast.

Multiple explosions are evident, and apparently began before the plane emerged from the smoke. The wings did not simply "fall off."
