Holy Blood Holy Grail Connections

The real essence of the connection between the "Hitler Phenomenon" spoken of on this Web Site and the two best selling books by Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh, and Henry Lincoln, Holy Blood Holy Grail and The Messianic Legacy, lies in the fact that in Holy Blood Holy Grail, the writers theorized about the possibility of the survival of a bloodline descending directly from Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalen and what such a bloodline could mean to the world. In The Messianic Legacy, they spent considerable time expanding upon what the meaning of such a bloodline could be. In fact, their analysis entitled, "Substitute Faiths: Soviet Russia and Nazi Germany" was one of the best works on the subject to date, demonstrating the true nature of National socialism as having been religious rather than political. Pointing to the traditional explanations which attempt to tell how it was that a civilized nation could have been turned so upside down, they stated,
"Certainly all these items, and many others, played a vital part. Certainly, too, they are all interrelated. But the most crucial element in any understanding of Nazism is the extent to which it deliberately activated the religious impulse in the German people. It elicited an emotional as well as a cerebral response, uniting, in its own depraved fashion, both hearts and minds. It became a fully fledged religion, and as such, it redeemed post-First World War Germany from the purgatory of meaninglessness. It was the religious dimension of Nazism that inspired the dynamism, the hysterical fanaticism, the demonic energy and ferocity which so transcended the parallel totalitarian movements in Italy and Spain. One could plausibly argue that the Third Reich was the first state in Western history since Rome to be based ultimately not on social, economic or political principles, but on religious principles...With a frightening degree of self-awareness and psychological sophistication, the Nazi Party undertook to activate and manipulate the religious impulse in the German people....Nazi Germany...employed many of religion's most ancient techniques--elaborate ceremonial, chanting, rhythmic repetition, incantatory oratory, colour and light. The Nuremberg rallies were not political rallies of the kind that occur in the West today, but cunningly staged theatre of the kind, for example, that formed an integral component of Greek religious festivals." My issue with their work stems not from their analysis of the role of religion in Nazism, but rather from the fact that in Holy Blood Holy Grail they maintained that it is probable that Jesus sired children, and that the descendants of those children eventually became mixed with the bloodlines of the thrones of Europe through the Merovingian dynasty, with which the "Holy Bloodline" had supposedly become infused (thus equating the Merovingians with the bloodline of Christ). Advocating the idea that the Merovingian bloodline also supposedly survived the death of Dagobert II, Baigent, Leigh and Lincoln then maintained that Christ's bloodline had spread to various other families of European prominence as well. They said:
"There are at least a dozen families in Britain and Europe today--with numerous collateral branches who are of Merovingian lineage. These include the houses of Hapsburg-Lorraine (present titular dukes of Lorraine and kings of Jerusalem), Plantard, Luxembourg, Montpezat, Montesquiou, and various others. According to the 'Prieure documents,' the Sinclair family in Britain is also allied to the bloodline as are various branches of the Stuarts. And the Devonshire family, among others, would seem to have been privy to the secret. All of these houses could presumably claim a pedigree from Jesus; and if one man, at some point in the future, is to be put forward as a new priest-king, we do not know who he is." Considering the fact that the name "Sinclair" adds up to 666 as was shown by the saved screen from my Gematria program which appears in the BIBLICAL CONNECTIONS , the fact that Baigent and Co. have sited the name of a family which equals 666 in Jewish Gematria, and raised in connection with that same family the idea that someone from that family could be "put forward as a new priest-king", one cannot help but think of the antichrist. The parallels are too obvious to avoid. And considering the Biblical warnings regarding the greatness of the signs which the antichrist will put forward in trying to prove his legitimacy, would it really be out of the realm of possibility for the antichrist to stake his claim for authority upon the grounds that he was literally the lineal descendant of Jesus Christ himself? And what if he were to produce "proof" for that claim, say newly "discovered" records from the Temple in Jerusalem, saved just prior to its destruction in 70AD or some other such earth shaking evidence which would seem to substatiate his claim?
Baigent and Co.speculate about the possibility that the Dead Sea Scrolls contain just such records, marriage records and birth records to be more precise. And if such records could at least be made to appear to exist (whether they actually did or not), then such a scenario would certainly be consistent with the one laid out in the New Testament with the antichrist coming in with incredible evidence to support his claim. In connection with this idea, a book was published in 1996 entitled The Bloodline of the Holy Grail: The Hidden Lineage of Jesus Revealed which purports to prove "for the first time that there is a continuing royal heritage of the Messiah in the West." It also carries a forward by Prince Michael of Albany who is said to be the Head of the Royal House of Stewart--another of the families mentioned by Baigent as having supposedly descended from this "sacred" bloodline. Jesus himself stated that the deceptions would be so astonishing that if it was possible, even the very elect would be deceived by them. How tempting might the argument be that the second coming referred not to the return of Jesus, but rather to the Second Advent of his dynasty, Christ's Dynasty--the Sinclairs--the family of the "Holy Light"; The house of the bloodline of Christ whose home is Roslin, the Blood of Christ!
Remembering how it was that even Hitlercould ultimately come to be seen as a Messiah, how much more easily might it be for an individual to be seen in that same light and role if the world was led to believe that that person was LITERALLY descended from Jesus Christ himself? To quote the words of the last sentence of the last chapter of Holy Blood Holy Grail,
"To a receptive audience, it might be a kind of Second Coming."
