Proof of Israel's Future Role In God's Divine Plan:
2520 Years from Cyrus to Rebirth
May 14, 1948 is the most important date in modern Jewish history because it marked the rebirth of the State of Israel after almost 2000 years. But beyond that, the date is significant because at the same time, it marked the completion of a prophetically predicted amount of time for Israel to complete the lamentations of its Diaspora. For when the Biblical year of 360 days is applied to the date of May 14, 1948 a number of key dates leap out to us from the pages of Jewish history.
Specifically, the Books of Ezekiel and Leviticus in conjunction with one another, contain passages which together predicted the length of time that would follow from the return of the exiles in Babylon (537 BC) until the nation would be restored (1948) as is demonstrated by the following passage from Ezekiel which decreed the number of years which Israel and Judah were to bear pain for iniquity based upon the number of days laid out in the passage:
"Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity. For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel. And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year. "(Ezek. 4: 4-6)
Consequently, by stating that each day stood for a year, the passage indicates that the total number of years for the two nations' suffering would be 390 years plus 40 years, or 430 years in all. They served 70 years of that allotted time period in Babylon, leaving 360 years remaining because 430 - 70 = 360. But since it is common knowledge that Jewish suffering has exceeded the 360 years remaining according to the prophecy by tens of centuries, one is forced to ask how the discrepancy between the time predicted and the reality of history can be rectified.
And the fact is that the real significance of the 360 year time period remaining after the return of the exiles from Babylon to Israel can only be understood when it is seen in light of the 26th chapter of Leviticus. Because God stated very clearly several times in that chapter that the misery would be increased by seven fold if they failed to follow his directives (I.E. Lev. 26: 18, 21, 23-24, 27-28 as quoted below).
Le 26:18 And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
Le 26:21 And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.
Le 26:24 Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins.
Le 26:28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.
And since Jeremiah said very clearly that the exile took place because they did not allow the land to enjoy its Sabbaths as commanded by Yahweh, that is why the exile took place.
2Ch 36:19 And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof.
20 And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:
21 To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her Sabbaths : for as long as she lay desolate she kept Sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years.
Thus, when they returned, and they still never observed the sabbatical years which Deuteronomy had instructed them to do, it resulted in the misery which lasted from that time until the nation was restored in 1948, because that lack of observance of God's command to them brought on the seven fold increase which Leviticus had predicted. And the result then was that the 360 years remaining became 2520 years of further desolation because 360 X 7 = 2520 years. (Note the following screen capture).

Remember, also, that these 2520 years are years of 360 days each, meaning that the total number of days is 2520 X 360 , or 907,200 days because 2520 X 360 = 907,200. (Again note the screen capture of the calculation shown below).
And since May 14, 1948 was Julian Day # 2,432,686, (as shown on the following screen capture), the date which corresponds to 907,200 days earlier is Julian Day # 1,525,486 because 2,432,686 - 907,200 = 1,525,486 as is verified in the second screen captures below.
And that day is a shocker, because on the Gregorian Calendar it corresponds to July 21, 537 BC.
And as can be seen from this screen capture taken from Grollier's Encyclopedia, 537 BC was when the Babylonian Captivity came to its end, due to the proclamation given by Cyrus the Great which allowed the Jews to return to Israel.
In addition, if one counts back 70 Biblical years from that date (that is, 70 more years of 360 days each, then we move back 25, 200 more days in time (360 X 70 = 25,200), which takes us to Julian Day # 1,500,286 because Julian Day 1,525,486 - 25,200 days = JD # 1,500,286, which was July 24, 606 BC.
And Julian Day #1,500,286 was July 24, 606 BC.
Since the Babylonian exile started at that time, we have now arrived at the beginning of the exilic period.
But in addition, if we count back an additional 360 Biblical years of 360 days each--in effect underlining the fact that each day stood for a year--we move back an additional 129,600 days from the date of the start of the exile.

Where does it take us? What date would that have been? We can see from the screen capture shown below that it fell on JD# 1,370,686 because JD# 1,500,286 (that is, the Julian Date for July 24, 606 BC) - 129,600 = 1,370,686.
And that Julian Date takes us to one of the most significant dates in all of Jewish history, because it was September 25, 961 BC as can be seen from the following screen capture.
And the reason that September 25, 961 BC is such an important date in Jewish history is because that date corresponds to the 15th of Tishri in the Hebrew Calendar.
And the reason that the 15th of Tishri is so significant is because that was the date upon which Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles, also known as the Feast of Booths, is celebrated, and it was instituted in Leviticus chapter 23 which said,
Le 23:23 ¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
33 ¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD.
35 On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
36 Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.
37 These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:
38 Beside the Sabbaths of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the LORD.
39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a Sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Sabbath.
40 And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.
41 And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.
42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:
43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
44 And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD.
Thus the 15th day of the seventh month (Tishri) was set aside as being the day upon which the Feast of Tabernacles, or the Feast of Booths, was to be celebrated. In the Jewish religion it is called Sukkot.
But in this case, there is something even more significant about that particular date for the holiday, because in 961 BC, SOLOMON DEDICATED THE TEMPLE!
How do we know that he dedicated it on Sukkot IN 961 BC?
Because the Book of I Kings bears witness to that fact. Chapter 8 recorded that it was done on the 15th day of the seventh month, and it is also noted has having taken place on that same date in the following page which was scanned from The Jewish Holidays: A Guide and Commentary by Michael Strassfeld.
And the year of the dedication can be shown to have been in 961 BC because Grollier's Encyclopedia dates the beginning of Solomon's reign as having been at the appropriate time--972 BC.
And when we date Solomon's reign as noted above with the chronicle of events regarding the building of the Temple as recorded in I Kings, chapter 6, we see in verse 38 that Solomon spent 7 years in the actual construction of the building while verse 1 tells us that he never even began the task until the 4th year of his reign! So from his accession to the throne in 972 BC until the dedication of the Temple, eleven years passed, meaning that the dedication would have had to have taken place in 961 BC, because 972 BC - 11 = 961BC.
And since we already know that it was dedicated on the 15th of Tishri, that means that when we put those two facts together, that the Temple was dedicated on the 15th of Tishri in 961 BC, which was September 25--Julian Day # 1,370,686. And we now know that from that date until the restoration of the State of Israel on May 14, 1948 there were exactly 1,062,000 days which passed--that is 2950 pre-exilic Biblical years of 360 days each.
In addition, 2520 Biblical years of tragedy also passed from the time of the Jewish return from the Babylonian Captivity until the rebirth of the nation in 1948. And that 2520 years was exactly seven times the 360 years which remained wanting from the original total of 430 years which had been allotted prior to the 70 year captivity in Babylon, a truly amazing fact, indeed.
SO WHAT DOES ALL OF THIS MEAN?
Of major significance to us now, is the fact that since the rebirth of the nation in 1948, the Jews have been in the land for more than 50 years.
Yet again, they have failed to keep the divine commandment regarding the land and its Sabbaths, which is that every 7 years the land was/is to have a Sabbath. NOTHING IS TO BE PLANTED UPON IT. And following every seventh Sabbath there is also supposed to be another sabbatical year--a Year of Jubilee. These Sabbaths have never been observed.
Whatever the result(s) this repeated lack of observance of the Sabbaths may hold for Israel in the future, it does seem likely to imply that events of major significance regarding the course of events which will eventually lead to the return of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, lie ahead of us. But before that event takes place, the denial of the Sabbaths may bode significantly regarding events concerning the coming of the antichrist as well, since he must come before Christ does according to Biblical prophecy.
In the mean time, however, what surely lies beyond any sort of reasonable basis for debate is the fact that the accuracy of the prophecies, and the dating of their fulfillment, and of the restoration of the State of Israel upon such a key day implicitly demonstrates that God has not abandoned the Jews as the Dominionists maintain. For surely, if Yaweh had no further purpose for his Chosen People, he would not have had any reason to have caused his people's nation to be restored again, let alone to have done it on such a strategic date in history. For the date that it happened upon was no accident; It was divinely ordained. And that fact speaks well for both Jews, and Christians.
Yet one other thing needs to be emphasized in connection with all of this, since Dominionists will continue to believe that the Church has replaced Israel, the arguments to the contrary not withstanding. And that is that in Ezekiel 36:23, Almighty God himself said that he would be sanctified in the Jews before the eyes of the world once he had brought them back into their ancient homeland; NOT in the Church, but in the Jews!
This is something that should never be forgotten. And it ought to dispel any misconceptions about the idea that the Church has replaced Israel in God's sight, and in his plan; It most definitely has not! Nor has anyone else, or anything else.
That idea is absolutely heretical, and it has been the starting point from which anti-Semitism has blossomed and grown in many countries for centuries. Martin Luther's own anti-Semitic statements certainly testify to that. And today, that same misguided belief is poisoning many of the churches which purport to do God's work, while at the same time, sanctioning that basic belief of British Israelism; that Israel has been replaced. In fact Luther's words are so shocking, and so relevant to this issue that they must be repeated here so that the reader may see what happened as a result of them, for the Nazis did everything that Luther advocated once they finally came to power. And no Reformer has enjoyed greater respect than Martin Luther because his criticisms of Catholic practices of the time were so well targeted. Here is what he actually said, as shocking as it may be:
What then shall we Christians do with this damned, rejected race of Jews? Since they live among us and we know about their lying and blasphemy and cursing, we cannot tolerate them if we do not wish to share in their lies, curses, and blasphemy. . . . We must prayerfully and reverentially practice a merciful severity. . . . Let me give you my honest advice:
First, to set fire to their synagogues or schools and to bury and cover with dirt whatever will not burn, so that no man will ever again see a stone or cinder of them. This is to be done in honor of our LORD and of Christendom . . .
Second, I advise that their houses also be razed and destroyed. . .
Third, I advise that all their prayer books and Talmudic writings, in which such idolatry, lies, cursing, and blasphemy are taught, be taken from them.
Fourth, I advise that their rabbis be forbidden to teach henceforth on pain of loss of life and limb . . .
Fifth, I advise that safe-conduct on the highways be abolished completely for the Jews. For they have no business in the country-side, since they are not lords, officials, tradesmen, or the like. Let them stay at home . . . [We might well ask "What home?", since they were all presumably burned in point two!]
Sixth, I advise that usury be prohibited to them, and that all cash and treasure of silver and gold be taken from them, and put aside for safe keeping . . .
Seventh, I recommend putting a flail, an ax, a hoe, a spade, a distaff, or a spindle into the hand of young, strong Jews and Jewesses and letting them earn their bread in the sweat of the brow.(This quote was taken from Hal Lindsey's book about Dominionism The Road to Holocaust (pp 23-24) published byBantam Books, Hard Cover edition July, 1989).
It is ironic that Luther never showed any signs of anti-Semitism until after the legalization of Lutheranism, because prior to that time he was sympathetic to the Jews, believing that they were right not to accept Catholicism because it had become so corrupted. Yet his quote is obviously quite reflective of the Reconstructionist/Dominionist belief that the Jew has been replaced in God's sight. And that view reflects a symbolic interpretation of prophecy rather than a literal one. And in this sense it is reflective of St. Augustine's allegorical views. In light of the above, it behooves us to remember that God does not change. And that he has said of no other people that they are "the apple of his eye."
Yet the Reconstructionists/Dominionists believe otherwise. As proof, let the words of David Chilton himself be sited:
"The Kingdom has been taken over from Israel, and it has been possessed by the New Covenant people. Israel has become demon possessed. It has become a nation of false prophets. A nation in the image of a Pagan Roman state. Jerusalem has become a harlot. And is going to be excommunicated. And the covenant promises are inherited by the faithful, witnessing, ruling Church of royal priests. That's what Revelation is all about." (Quote taped from a sermon by Chilton in August of 1987 at Reformation Covenant Church in Beaverton, Oregon).
Premillennialists such as Corrie Ten Boom lived their faith, and hid Jews from the Nazis during the holocaust because they subscribed to a literal interpretation of prophecy which affirmed the place of the Jews in God's plan and in his heart. She said in her book The Hiding Place that she believed that the Germans were asking for trouble in persecuting the Jews because they were the apple of God's eye.
Obviously, Reconstructionists/Dominionists do not. And unfortunately, the Dominionism within the Church is growing by leaps and bounds today, much as the Arian Heresy did within the Catholic Church for centuries following the Council of Nicea. And just as the "Catholic" Bishops who really believed, not in Catholicism, but in Arianism (the heretical teachings of Arius, the Bishop Arius of Alexandria, who denied the Trinity) had to officially disavow Arianism even though they still held to it and taught it, so too we find when we look closely at many of the major teachers of Dominionist ideas today that among them are are some of the most highly respected figures of the "Christian Right", and of "conservative" Christian Churches in general, just as Luther was. And this is what is so frightening about the movement; Because it comes from withIN the Church rather than from withOUT.
Like wolves in sheep's clothing, they appear to be orthodox.
But when their "gospel" becomes "send us money so that we can do the Lord's work", and they then couch their appeal for that money in political rhetoric while railing against crime and communism, and espousing God, family, and morality, etc., they subtly move their message away from its rightful Biblical basis, and over to an agenda which is more political in nature than gospel.
In fact, they follow in the same footsteps as that greatest of the crime fighting anti-communists of the 20th century, Adolf Hitler, who also advocated patriotism, God, and the like while claiming at the same time that by opposing the Jews, he was actually doing God's work!
Unfortunately, when wolves don sheep's clothing, that clothing often makes it difficult for many of the sheep to see anything else. So they fail to see the signs which would allow them to recognize the wolves for what they really are.
This is especially true when the wolves are leaders in the Church. So when Jerry Falwell accepts 3 million dollars from Sun Myung Moon, he is seen as being "too Christian" to have sold out, even though if a "liberal" was to do such a thing, Falwell's supporters would blast him mercilessly, and the scriptures tell us that we should "owe no man nothing except to love him." Does Falwell really believe that after receiving $3,000,000 from Moon that all he owes him is "love"?
The fact is that a money changer is a money changer is a money changer.....And nothing can ever change that.
And the scriptures also warn us that Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
So if you really want to know the TRUTH about the Christian Right, follow the money, as they say. If Ralph Reed is really the man he wants Christians to think he is, then what is he doing cavorting with Moon, and appearing with him publicly? Remember, Moon claims to be the Messiah!!!! Perhaps Moon's money is also too much for Reed to resist as well???
The only way to judge them is by their fruit. Is their fruit pure? Or is it poisoned?
And certainly, we are safe to conclude that if the message is Dominionist, then the message has been poisoned.
So when Paul Crouch preaches that we need to take dominion over the air waves so that we can take dominion over the world "for Jesus," he is advocating a poisoned message which is totally out of keeping with the true gospel, because Christ himself never advocated such a thing! He never advocated a "holy war" to take over the middle east from the Arabs in the Crusades; He never told his disciples to take over the governments of the world.
He only commissioned his Church to preach and teach the gospel, and he made it quite clear that He is the one who will establish the Kingdom; not the church! So in maintaining otherwise, the Dominionists are really saying that they know better than Christ, while claiming to serve him.
Again, by extension, their claim is implicitly that Israel has been replaced. And that is Replacement "Theology".
And just as Hitler was going to do "God's work" by speeding up the evolutionary process by eliminating the "sub-humans"--the Jews, the Dominionists want to "speed up the process" of the return of Christ by taking control of the world so that they can "prepare the way of the Lord". It's very subtle, and history shows us that it is very dangerous, indeed. It is also very British-Israel (the belief that God replaced Israel with someone else, whether it be Britain and the USA, the Church, or anyone else), regardless of how they couch it, or present it. And at its root is the same Satanic source which led to the Nazi holocaust--anti-Semitism--a subtle form of it to be sure, but anti-Semitic nevertheless. And we should not forget that the serpent was quite subtle in the Garden of Eden.
So it's the same song, different verse......1990's version.
